Focus:
Sexual Harassment and Violence (SHV)

Why SHV?

Sexual harassment and violence – or just SHV – are omnipresent, even at universities and research institutions. I have been working on this topic for more than 10 years, engaging with various target groups in different formats.

— Anthology on SHV —

In 2023, Dr Heike Pantelmann and I published the anthology ‘Sexual Harassment, Discrimination and Violence in the University Context. Challenges, Approaches and Prevention’ (Springer Gabler). The 16 articles look at the various forms and manifestations of sexual harassment as a subject of research and part of everyday organisational life. They explain the handling of SHV in various contexts and spaces in academia from different perspectives and provide information on structures for prevention. You can find out more about this anthology here..

— My Special Focus —

Since 2019, I have been collaborating with maritime research institutions and universities on the topic of 'SHV at sea', for example on sea expeditions and research cruises. This collaboration has also given rise to the initiative ‘For a good Way of Living and working together at Sea’, which I am happy to support. In this context, I also collaborate with shipping companies, including those in the cargo shipping industry.

My work on SHV is characterised by my clear positioning, empathy and confidentiality.
